Gipsy Point cemetery gets loaded

On our way up to Canberra we swung in to the Gipsy Point Cemetery to see how the sun orchids were doing.  In brief they were emerging but still several days off opening. In particular there were many - possibly hundreds - of pink Thelymitra buds all over the site.

Glossodia major was open with many pretty blue flowers.
It is always nice to find one of the white ones.
There were a few specimens of Diuris orientis  ..
 .. including one all-yellow specimen.
Close to the gate we found our first clump of emerging Microtis sp.

This very low bud was open.  I didn't have my book on hand so can't guess the species.
There were a few T. ixioides as well as the pink ones.  I suspect that later in the day this would open fully.
