Mainly Lyrebirds

I went to Mullet Creek on 11 April  to check on the extent of the flying fox camp.  It was still quite large but the extension towards the houses in Karbeethong appears to have been vacated.  The high point of the visit was two (mustn't call them a pair since that might imply behaviours not known for birds) male Lyrebirds scratching around beside the track.

Arty-farty close up of the tail: it looks as though the tips of two feathers have broken off.
Wanders off into the bush.
Spot the lyrebird!
When I took the photo above the second bird was quite close, quietly making the basic Lyrebird chortle and adding in calls of Spotted Pardalote, Lewin's Honeyeater and Yellow-tailed Black-cockatoo.

When I turned round to leave an Eastern Yellow Robin posed for a couple of snaps.
