sundry snaps

A few things were snapped on 3 August.

The day began early with a hunt for a Bassian Thrush reported (again) at a neighbour's garden.  This failed, but I did photograph Kookaburras.

Later in the morning I checked the Lapwing chicks.  They'd all gone to play with the horses in the paddock below.  2 are just visible in the bottom left corner of this.
Around noon I went to have another search for the Bassian Thrush.  Luckier this time, although it didn't pose unduly well!

By early afternoon the Lapwing chicks were well down the paddock.  Google Earth advises that they had shifted at least 150m.
