The end is sort of nigh

The end of this episode of flooding anyway.    We decided to turn at this point on our walk this morning as going forward meant wet feet.
There will be some debris left on the roads etc but a bit of rain and some breeze should get rid of it.
The far side of the pond at the end of the rebuilt boardwalk.

Good to see the marker poles for the rebuilt Shady Gully boardwalk.  For some reason they haven't started rebuilding this one yet.  Perhaps be done by Christmas?
The next few photos are of the sand road being built over the rocks.  Some folk seem to think this is being done to preserve the rocks:  I'd suggest avoiding breaking the tracks on the equipment is more likely the issue.

Work begins on digging out the sand.  These photos taken from Captain Stevensons Point.

Two Australian Pied Oystercatchers in the campground.  The water's edge is about 20m from the rock wall.  They were finding plenty to eat!
