Following a post by a commercial fisherperson about the state of the sea I went down to Bastion Point to see how things were going mid-morning. Rather lumpily is a summary.
These taken from land end of the breakwater!
Looking out past the tip of the Point. The sea was very confused out that way, I suspect bouncing around the various rocky reefs out that way.
Not much around in the way of birds. This Eastern Reef Egret was inside the breakwater when I took this ...
.... but then flew over the breakwater to patrol the beach (OK, gravel bank) and kelp on that side.
