For most of the last week we have had fairly bad smoke haze, and for the last three days visibility was no more than 2 kms - at times well under 1 kilometre. However on the afternoon of 2 February a South-West wind came in and blew all that muck away. (It also seemed to stir up fire in the Howe Range but that is another story.) This meant we could see both Mount Imlay and Nungatta Peak (both about 40km away in line of sight).
There was also a fair amount of cloud. An outcome of those events was that we got a pretty sunset.
